in october 2017 the annual adobe MAX creativity conference took place in las vegas. german communication designer thomas wirtz created the identity of the event based on his master thesis ‘BTW’ — a modular system consisting of two components: a typeface, produced by 3D printing, and a variety of physical processes associated with the letters.
Located in the Playa Vista neighbourhood of Los Angeles, the project was completed by New York-based architects A+I. The new offices encompass 36,000 square feet (3,344 square metres) of open-plan workspaces over two floors that are split up by meeting rooms, informal spaces, and private offices.
From the outset, the architects faced a blank slate. “The company had no purpose-built space that preceded this, no employee culture they were designing around and no identity yet to perpetuate,” said A+I.
i’m not a fan of using artists for product branding but some of these are quite good — esp the haring and basquiat series. m.

‘our brand proposal aims at breaking away from the generic solutions that are typical of this product segment by taking a direction that is inspired by bright, neon colors that are related to the world of optimal sport performance, including the attire, footwear, and accessories associated with these athletes. a vast majority of sports nutrition products require extensive directions and specifications on their packaging.’
‘we turned this visual weakness into a balance between the packaging and its labels, as well as by adding a numerical system that simplifies the steps and instructions for the use of the products. this system designed for nativetech serves as an additional benefit for the future expansion of the brand’s product line while maintaining the brand’s essence. nativetech’s bright color palette and typographic solution help its products stand out among the numerous existing supplement options.’ — anagrama
‘lowbay table’ is the latest project sent to us by netherland based industrial designer han toning. it is a prototype created for the dutch ‘spin-offs‘ design platform and is produced by first machine-cutting and bending a 18mm industrial plywood. the flexibility of the plywood allows it to achieve the resulting curved shape. epoxy resin is used to set the form and curves of the table.

What Fer and Nora wanted for their wedding was to be a big party where all guests, from first to last, have fun and a good time with them. They wanted everyone to participate from the outset to make that day unforgettable. So with this in our mind we started working. We had several ideas but the one that fits better with what the couple wanted was an invitation that the guests themselves had to finish. With all this in our minds we created an invitation in two parts, the lower with the event data and instructions in order that everyone know what to do and the top with a series of micro-perforated circles by laser that could be separated as each guest wanted and, this way, draw various elements regarding the wedding such as a heart, rings, a shrimp… typical things. The instructions gave ideas, but then everyone was free to do what they wanted to make their invitation personal. And it didn’t stop there, these leftover circles became confetti to be thrown to Fer and Nora when they leave the church, helping to create a party atmosphere in their first minutes as newlyweds.
